Who we are

Matt Novack: Founder, Composer & Creative Director

Matt has brought his 20 years of experience in film and TV with the founding of Spacecat Music and Sound. A classically trained composer and percussionist whose intuitively smart scores have created indelible moments in (mostly) comedy projects across series and film. His music has supported performances by many of today’s greatest comedic actors, including Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Rob Cordrry, Megan Mullally, Henry Winkler and Will Arnett. His most recent work can be heard on the hit TBS series, Miracle Workers, starring Daniel Radcliffe, as well as the series Harley Quinn on HBOMAX. Along with his partner, Mary, they have fostered almost 40 cats and kittens over the years. Plus he’s a gamer. - “One of the funniest composers in Hollywood” (Awards Radar, June 2024)

Greg Martin: Composer, Creative Partner

Greg is a composer, producer, and musician originally from Washington, DC. His original score has helped add color, dimension, and sonic personality to everything from short films by directors like Miranda July and Lake Bell, to global advertisements for brands like Nike, NFL, Southwest Airlines, and Uniqlo. Recently, Greg’s music can be heard on shows such as Murderville (Netflix) and Miracle Workers (TBS), as well as narrative podcasts like Brewster High (iHeart) and the just-released sci-fi podcast series Hindsight: The Day Before starring John Goodman. Greg lives and works in Los Angeles, where he loves to play music with his friends, pet dogs on the sidewalk, and write thriller screenplays with his writing partner.

Frankie Radochia: Composer, Creative Partner, Lead Sound Designer

Xena: the original Spacecat

Xena arrived on this planet in the year 2014 in the backyard of Spacecat composer Allyson Newman who named her after Greek composer Iannis Xenakis. One of Matt and Mary’s first foster-fails, Xena quickly ingratiated herself among the family. She’s thrilled to be the mascot of Spacecat Music & Sound, in between her usual duties of collecting data and beaming it back to her home planet.
